Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has revealed that the second-gen 2021 Maruti Celerio is in its final testing phase and will be launched soon. Maruti has still not revealed the exact launch date but the new Celerio is being expected to launch by the end of this month. With the launch of the new-gen model, the brand Celerio will be totally revamped with a new model that carries notable changes in design, technology and platform.

The new-gen Maruti Celerio will likely carry the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that powers the current car. It delivers 69PS of maximum power. However, this time around, it will be even offered with the 1.2-litre petrol engine from the WagonR. This motor generates 83PS of peak power. Both the engines will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard while a 5-speed AMT should be offered as an option. The new model could even get a factory-fitted CNG kit.

Compared to the rather boxy design of the current model, the new Celerio will have a more curvaceous form factor with a cutesy front facade. Also, the new model won't have a tallboy stance. There will be several hints of the latest Swift as well as the S-Presso in the design of the new model.
The interior will offer many new features, including a SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment unit that will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto The small car will carry the Suzuki Connect module that will help one with features like geo-fencing, vehicle status and more. The safety features will include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors.

With the launch of its Suzuki Connect for all Suzuki customers, they can now keep a track of the car anytime and anywhere. The car is not only affordable but economical as well. The stylish Celerio provides an Anti-lock braking system, a force lifter, front seat belts and much more. The higher variants of the 2021 Maruti Celerio will ride on 13-inch alloy wheels.
