Maruti Suzuki India is preparing to launch the facelift of its Swift hatchback and the sub-4 meter Dzire Sedan. The brand has already started testing both the vehicles and the test mule of the Swift has been spotted multiple times. Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift
The facelift of the Maruti Dzire is long due in the Indian market and the spotting of the new test mule signifies that the brand might bring the facelift soon. The recently spotted test mule is being tested in the mountains which means the brand is doing high-altitude testingthe test mule dons an electric sunroof which will be a substantial addition to the Dzire facelift.
The upcoming Dzire facelift is expected to make subtle changes to its front and rear profile. We can anticipate a redesigned bumper at the front and back, minor changes to the grille, and other cosmetic changes. The facelift will take inspiration from the recently debuted fourth-gen Swift in the global market.
However, the test mule was spotted with a similar set of alloy wheels as the current generation, but we can expect minor changes in the alloy wheels of some variants as well. The clamshell bonnet and new body creases will give the Dzire facelift a more muscular look.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Interior
The interior of the facelift was not visible in the spy shots, yet it is anticipated to get a revamp. It will draw cues from the fourth-gen Swift, giving the dashboard a new look with new AC vents, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and new HVAC controls with toggle buttons, among other changes. The new changes will make the Dzire facelift more upmarket.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift Powertrain
The Maruti Dzire is currently powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is speculated to take a departure from the lineup to make way for the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-Series engine which produces 82 bhp of power. This engine gives a claimed mileage of 24.5 kmpl. However, the refinement levels might take a toll due to the transition to a 3-cylinder configuration.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the top-selling sedan under Rs 10 lakh in India. However, the model has not received an update from a long time, signaling a need of the facelift. With the new updates, it will become more feature loaded and the addition of new engine might increase the efficiency as well. The Dzire is loved by personal as well as fleet operators. It will continue to compete with the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.
