2024 Maruti Swift Facelift: Launch Soon
The next-gen Swift, set to hit the Indian market on May 9th, is bringing a fresh look with a tweaked exterior design. Expect a revamped front fascia sporting redesigned headlamps featuring DRLs, stylish polygonal fog lamps, and a new grille. Notably, it will feature conventional rear door handles, and the rear will showcase a redesigned bumper and tail lights. Plus, there's a sleek set of sporty alloy wheels to complete the package.
Before its big debut in India, this updated model has already made waves in the UK. Over there, it offers three engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual, another 1.2-litre petrol with a CVT, and yet another 1.2-litre petrol with a 5-speed manual and AWD. The 1.2-litre petrol comes with a nifty 12V mild-hybrid system.
However, there are expected alterations for the Indian market, with slightly different engine options compared to the international version. Notably, AWD won't be available for our market and familiar CNG engine will remain an option. It will continue to rival the Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, and others.
Verdict
The recent increase in price for the current Maruti Swift might give potential buyers pause, making them hesitant to make a purchase. With the facelift version set to be released soon, this price bump could encourage customers to wait for the updated model instead.
