India is a major automotive market with significant monthly car sales. Automakers in India have now announced the price hikes for various cars. Major Indian automakers have all announced plans to raise the price of their country-specific vehicle lineups in the coming days, and several have already done so with effect as of January 1, 2023. The new price increase coincides with rising commodity prices and the upcoming implementation of new RDE (Rear Driving Emission) standards. Major automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Kia, Citroen, Jeep, and others have raised or will raise their prices by a few percent. Here's the list of carmakers who announced the price hike on their lineup.

Maruti Suzuki
The largest automaker in India is Maruti Suzuki. The company has announced a price increase for the entire lineup of vehicles. Government regulations are to blame for the price increase, which have increased the already high cost pressure brought on by pricey raw materials. The hike will change based on the model, though.
Hyundai
Hyundai has also announced a price increase for its whole line of vehicles, however the manufacturer has not yet specified the amount of the increase. The Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, Venue, Verna, Creta, Alcazar, Kona EV, and Tucson make up the current brand portfolio.

Kia
A price increase of Rs 50,000 has been announced for the entire Kia vehicle lineup in India. The rising cost of raw materials is the reason of the price increase.
Tata
Tata Motors has recently disclosed a price increase for its automobiles in India, joining other manufacturers in doing so. The forthcoming RDE norms and rising cost of raw materials are the reason, which is the same as for other manufacturers.
MG Motor
A price increase of Rs 90,000 has been announced for MG Motor India's array of vehicles. The Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV, Astor, and Gloster make up MG's current lineup. The company is getting ready to update its Hector and Hector Plus SUVs.

Honda
Honda has announced a price hike of Rs 30,000 on its vehicle lineup. The brand is currently selling the Honda City Fifth Generation, Amaze, WR-V, Jazz, and City
Citroen/Jeep/Volkswagen/Renault
The C3 and C5 Aircross SUV will see a price increase of 1.5 to 2 percent af toter the hike announced by Citroen. Jeep India has announced a 2 to 4 percent price increase. Volkswagen and Renault have also raised prices, though they haven't said how much or by what percentage.
Mercedes-Benz/Audi
Mercedes-Benz and Audi, two luxury automakers, are also among those who have recently announced price hikes. Both companies have declared increases of 5% and 1.7%, respectively. The whole line-up of both brands will be impacted by the price increase.
