MG has showcased the Marvel-R, its electric compact SUV at the 2023 auto expo. Currently available in European markets with a standard 70kWh battery pack, the Marvel-R gets two drive train options i.e a 132kW/410Nm and a 212kW/665Nm electric motor, the latter being the performance-oriented version capable of doing a 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds with a WLTP range of 370km. The 132kW/410Nm electric motor variant can go from 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds with a WLTP range of 402km. It also gets all-wheel drive technology.

Design & Exterior:
The Marvel-X is a Coupe SUV with several styling elements like the 19-inch alloy wheels, the connected front daytime running lamps, connected arrow design tail lamps, and matrix-type LED headlamps. The compact SUV gets flush-type door handles to enhance its style quotient and help in reducing drag.
Interior & Features:
The Marvel-R is a tech-loaded electric SUV with a modern cabin design. It gets premium interiors with a Nappa leather finish, bose surround sound system, a panoramic sunroof, slim air vents, seat heating & ventilation function, and 64-color interior ambient lighting. There's also a powered tailgate, wireless charging, and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The driver gets a digital cockpit along with several ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blindspot warning, etc.

Verdict: MG already has the MG ZS EV currently on sale in India. The brand is also planning to launch more EVs to expand its EV lineup in the country. There's MG Air EV, which is set to launch soon in India. Though MG has just showcased the Marvel-R at the 2023 auto expo, there stands a good possibility that MG will launch it in the Indian market sometime in the future.
