Toyota is launching back to back new cars in the Indian market. Just a few months ago, the company launched the Toyota Urban Cruiser sub-compact SUV which is basically a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Then very recently, the company launched the new Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift BS6 and Toyota is not gonna stop just here. If you remember, in June this year, Toyota launched the new Fortuner Facelift in Thailand. Along with the new Fortuner Facelift, the Japanese car manufacturer also introduced a new top of the line variant called 'Legender'. Now, Fortuner fans, it is time to rejoice as along with the Fortuner Facelift, the company will soon also launch the new 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender in India. Here are all the details about it.
Toyota Fortuner is a very popular full-size 4x4 SUV in the Indian market. The Fortuner was first launched in India in the year 2009 and in just no time, it became synonymous with the rich and the powerful. The second-generation Fortuner was launched in India in the year 2016 and it became even more popular among the Indians. Now, just a couple of months ago, the company unveiled the new Toyota Fortuner Facelift and the Fortuner Legender in Thailand and these full-size true 4x4 SUV's are finally coming to our shores. The new facelifted Toyota Fortuner was already expected to launch in India in January 2021 and the unofficial bookings for the same are also open at select Toyota dealerships across the country.
However, Toyota is planning to surprise the Fortuner fans as according to the latest media reports, the company will also launch the Fortuner Legender in India. The upcoming Fortuner Legender is the new top of the line variant of the Fortuner. It is basically a more enhanced and sporty version of the SUV. The Fortuner Legender gets a lot of cosmetic changes when compared to the regular Fortuner and also some additional features. For starters, the new Legender variant gets a unique split-grille set-up and a more aggressive front bumper. It also features dual-projector LED headlights with stylish LED DRLs and sequential LED turn indicators. The SUV now replaces the chrome accents and it gets gloss black elements all over the body. It also gets dual-tone paint schemes with a blacked-out roof.
The Fortuner Legender gets all-new colour schemes, blacked-out pillars, blacked-out ORVMs, etc. and it runs on stylish-looking 20-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Fortuner Legender will also get subtle changes on the rear profile including blacked-out roof-mounted spoiler, slim LED taillights and some glossy black touches here and there. Step inside the cabin and one can notice that the Fortuner doesn't get many changes but it does get some new features. The dashboard looks exactly the same as before and it still doesn't get an electric sunroof. However, the new Legender variant gets a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 360-degree parking camera, ambient lighting, wireless charger, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, etc.
