New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Things To Expect
The new Dzire comes with radically different styling at both ends. The front is rather squared-off, and it also gets sleek headlights along with a large grille treatment with horizontal slats, giving it a slightly more imposing look than before. There is no LED strip connecting the headlights, at least on the cars that have been spotted. It is possible that the higher variants may receive these modern design elements. Instead, the car pictured here gets a simple chrome strip in the middle connecting the headlights.
The profile of the car has also been altered slightly, and unlike before where the Swift DNA was still quite visible in the Dzire, this time it seems to have gone completely. The alloy rims appear to be new, and the new Dzire will continue to offer 14-inch and 15-inch wheels.
At the rear, the new Dzire receives squared-off tail lights which are smaller than before, with a Y-shaped element housed within. The tailgate and the rear bumper are completely new, and just like the front, the rear does not get a DRL strip either, instead receiving a chrome strip connecting the tail lights.
In terms of powertrains, the new Dzire will also carry the same Z12E 1.2-litre petrol powertrain, producing 80.46bhp and 111.7Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. It will also get a CNG powertrain with 68.6bhp and 101.8Nm of torque.
Details on the equipment front continue to be scarce for now, but we can expect the new Dzire to come with a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, a 9-inch touch screen infotainment display, hill-assist, rear A/C vents, a conventional sunroof and more.

Verdict
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will compete against the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the Honda Amaze, which is also expected to receive a major upgrade sometime in 2025. The new Dzire will hopefully draw some attention back to the compact sedan segment and make things interesting.
