Updated Maruti Dzire Spotted In A Striking Blue Paintjob
The Maruti Dzire is set to receive a fresh coat of paint, quite literally. Spy shots have revealed the sedan sporting the Nexa Blue shade, previously seen on other Nexa models. This new hue, alongside the previously spotted red, adds a vibrant touch to the Dzire's palette. The upcoming Dzire boasts a sharper, more modern design, particularly evident in its front fascia. Sleek new headlights, a wider grille, and a redesigned fog lamp housing contribute further to the refreshed look, something that has already been noticed with the previous shots.
Unlike its Swift sibling, the Dzire retains the Suzuki logo on the grille, while the bonnet now features two character lines for a more dynamic appearance. The side profile largely mirrors the current generation, with a new, sharper shoulder line adding a touch of flair. Familiar elements like body-colored door handles, blacked-out B-pillars, and body-colored ORVMs remain just as they were.
Features Expectations
The new-generation Maruti Dzire is set to inherit a range of features from the recently launched Swift. These include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, a voice assistant, and adjustable and foldable ORVMs. Safety will be prioritized with standard six airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. Meanwhile, a previous spy shot confirmed that the new Dzire will feature a single-pane sunroof, which the current pool of buyers dearly loves.

Engine Details
The new Dzire will be powered by the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine as its Swift sibling. This engine produces 82 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic transmission. Although the engine offers slightly less power than the previous generation, it promises improved fuel efficiency. Notably, a CNG variant is also expected to be introduced at a later date. Ultimately, the decision of whether this trade-off between power and efficiency is worthwhile will depend on individual levels.
Verdict
The Dzire, a well-established name in the compact sedan segment, has always evolved gracefully, distinguishing itself from its Swift sibling while preserving its core identity. The upcoming generation is set to continue this trend, blending innovation with tradition. However, this time, the Dzire offers a much more significant departure from its hatchback counterpart, something that in my opinion, is a good move as the Dzire now deserves its own identity, rather than being a sedan extention of a hatcback.
