Toyota cars are going to cost more from April 2022, Toyota Kirloskar Motor today announced a 4% price hike across range due to the increasing price of raw materials. The price range will affect the price of models including the Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Camry and Urban Cruiser.
The brand said, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced that the company will realign the prices of its models, by up to 4% effective from 1st April 2022. This hike has resulted due to the rising input cost, including that of raw materials. As a committed & customer-centric company, TKM has made all conscious efforts to minimize the impact of rising costs on consumers.

Toyota currently sells only a few cars in India, two of which are rebadged Maruti Suzukis. The Fortuner, Innova Crysta, and Camry are among the company's vehicles. The Hilux, the brand's upcoming vehicle for the Indian market, has already been unveiled. The brand is also planning to launch Toyota Belta, a rebadged Maruti Ciaz in 2022, and with that, the brand is also planning on updating the Urban Cruiser compact SUV.
The newly released Toyota Glanza is unlikely to be affected by the price increase. In 2022, the Toyota Glanza will be powered by a single 1.2-liter DualJet engine. This four-cylinder, normally aspirated engine has a maximum torque of 113 Nm and produces up to 89 horsepower. The engine comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, however AMT is now available as an option.

Many vehicle manufacturers have announced price increases for April, such as BMW, which will raise prices by 3.5 percent in April, and Mercedes-Benz and Audi, which will also raise costs in April 2022.
