The Hyundai Venue will go through a mid-cycle update in 2022, and the recent spy shot confirms a new update.
The 2022 Hyundai Venue was spotted earlier too. But recent spy shots reveal a new design element on its rear fascia. Its official launch will happen sometime third half of FY2022. But will it be an Indian launch or abroad, remains to be seen. Mechanically, the Hyundai Venue will carry over unchanged. 2022 Hyundai Venue: Design
The Hyundai Venue already had a proper SUV-ish design and fascia design that resembles the bigger Creta. So, the updated model will follow the same lines as well. However, The front fascia will get a redesigned grille and headlamps. Just like the Creta the LED DRLs may come integrated into the grille, but that remains to be seen. The rear fascia will have a new tailgate, with new redesigned connecting taillight units, and redesigned alloy wheels. Information on the interiors remains unclear.
2022 Hyundai Venue: Powertrain
Mechanically, the 2022 Hyundai Venue is expected to continue with the same three engine options. It can either be powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 83 bhp and 113 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual. Or a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed clutchless intelligent manual transmission. Theres also the 100 hp 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces an impressive 240 Nm of torque for a small SUV. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

2022 Hyundai Launch and Price, and Competiton
As mentioned before, the Venue will launch sometime in the third half of FY2022, probably before the Creta. The new Venue will obviously see its prices increase from its current range i.e. between Rs. 6.99 lakh Rs. 11.85 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hyundai Venue competes against the likes of Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Besides the other models, both Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Urban Cruiser will see updates as well.
