Next-Gen Renault Triber & Kiger Confirmed
Renault India has declared its plans to launch five cars and SUVs within the next three years. These will include the next-gen Triber, and next-gen Kiger, along with a B+SUV, a C-SUV, and a locally produced EV. Anticipated updates for the next-gen Triber and Kiger include new features, designs, and engine options. The brand has already added new features into both models for the 2024 model year. The Triber MPV stands out as one of the most affordable MPVs in the Indian market, competing with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. On the other hand, the Kiger competes with sub-4-metre SUVs like the Tata Punch & Hyundai Exter.
In addition, Renault has introduced a new brand identity that will be implemented across its network in India in the upcoming months.
New B+ SUV, A C-SUV & An EV Coming Soon
The company also said they're going to introduce a new B+ SUV and a C-SUV, but they haven't told us the names yet. Some rumours are pointing that they might bring back the Duster to India. Another possible new SUV could be a seven-seater one based on the Bigster SUV. They're also planning to add an electric car that will be made locally. We think it might be the Kwid EV, and it will compete with the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3. We don't know exactly when these new cars will come out, but it should happen by 2027.
