Skoda India has launched a new Onyx Edition of the Kushaq at Rs 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The new variant sits between the Active and Ambition variants of the lineup. This is also the second special variant of the Kushaq from the manufacturer. The new Onyx Edition has begun to arrive at dealerships and boasts new exterior graphics and added features over the base Active variant.

Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition
The new Onyx edition gets new grey body graphics on the doors, Onyx badging on the B-pillar, 16-inch steel rims with wheel covers, rear defogger, faux skid plates and chrome embellishment on the front grille.
The new edition's interior highlights include automatic climate control, perforated leatherette seats with fabric inserts, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front scuff plates with Onyx inlays, chrome accents on the AC vents, a two-spoke steering wheel, and steering mounted controls. The variation additionally has fog lamps with a static cornering function and an LED projector headlamp with DRLs.
The 1.0-liter NA petrol engine will be the only engine choice for the Skoda Kushaq Onyx version. Peak power and torque from this engine are 114 bhp and 178 Nm, respectively. Both a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission are paired with the engine. Just the 6-speed manual transmission will be available in the Onyx variant.

Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Price
Priced at Rs 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Onyx edition is Rs 80,000 more expensive than the base Active model and Rs 50,000 less expensive than the Ambition variant. The Active and Ambition variants will be bridged by this edition.
Verdict: Skoda will be able to draw in more customers with the new Onyx edition, and buyers of the standard model can obtain extra features by spending Rs 80,000 for the Onyx edition.
