Several car launches have been delayed amidst the COVID-19 and one's who have been launched, are sitting at the yards since the deliveries have been stopped. One such car to face this lockdown is the powerful Skoda Octavia RS 245 which was launched at 2020 Auto Expo.

The 2020 Skoda Octavia RS 245 is a straight-up CBU(Completely Built Unit) which costs Rs 36 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The bookings for the same started on March 1 at a price of Rs 1 lakh. The performance-oriented was spotted at a dealership and we can say once the lockdown ends, the deliveries for the same will commence.
The Octavia RS is limited to 200 units only and packs in a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor under the hood. This unit generates 242 bhp on tap with 370 Nm of torque. It continues with the same 7-speed DSG gearbox but the 0-100km/h sprint is quicker and now stands at 6.6 seconds from 6.8 seconds.

Being a CBU, the sedan gets lowered suspension, large air intakes, sportier front and rear bumper and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. It also receives quad LED headlights, RS badging on the exteriors and interiors. The top speed remains at 250 km/h.
On the interiors, it continues with the all-black interiors with red stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard, upholstery and among others. It also gets a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel with paddle shifters.
Some features on the Octavia RS 245 includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features like electrically adjustable driver's seat and passenger seat, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control are among others.
