Suzuki Philippines has come up with a limited-run version of the S-Presso entry-level hatchback. The introduction of the new Suzuki S-Presso Special Edition coincides with the festive season of Christmas and should help the carmaker benefit from the increased demand for cars during this time of the year.

The Suzuki S-Presso was launched in the Philippines back in March 2020 and has become one of the more popular models in the Japanese carmaker's lineup. With the launch of the special edition, the carmaker will attempt to further enhance the street presence of the small car through the addition of black plastic cladding all around, silver-finished door mouldings, faux skid plats, alloy wheels and a roof-mounted spoiler.
The interior doesn't get as many add-ons as the exterior but as a part of the special edition package, the S-Presso has received silver-finished trim on the centre console and around the aircon vents. Mechanically, however, the small car has remained untouched. It's powered by a 1.0-litre, three-pot K10B petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 67 PS and a peak torque of 90 Nm. The only gearbox option is that of a 5-speed manual unit.

The Suzuki S-Presso Special Edition is available only in Starry Blue Pearl paint scheme and costs P 568,000 (approx INR 8,38,800), which is P 45,000 (approx INR 66,450) more than the top-spec GL-trim of the hatchback. Bookings of the new model are underway at all of the 73 authorized Suzuki dealerships across the Philippines. It must be noted that the S-Presso on sale in the Philippines is produced by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) and exported from here.
Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso went on sale in India back in September 2019 and replaced the Alto K10. Over here, the entry-level model has been available with two transmission options - 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. In India, the small car locks horns with the Datsun redi-GO and Renault Kwid. It's available in 7 trims - Std, Std (O), LXI, LXI (O), VXI, VXI (O), and VXI Plus. Also, the S-Presso is available in petrol as well as CNG variants. In the local market, the prices of the S-Presso range from Rs 3.78 lakh to Rs 5.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
