Tata Altroz Racer: 360-Degree Camera Confirmed
Tata Altoz Racer after being introduced at the Auto Expo 2023 was thrown into the backseat. No talks, rumors or any updates were given for a long time following that. Then came a time a few months ago when Tata took the project again and we had test mule sightings, revealing key details. Now, in the latest images, we can clearly see a 360-degree camera setup and a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment screen. This feature indicates at a modern tech list accompanying the said vehicle at its launch, keeping it as a premium offering.
Accentuating its sporty character is the dual-tip exhaust that has been papped in the latest spy shots. The test mule had a Racer badging on the front fender and an iTurbo branding at the tailgate, reinforcing its punchy attributes. Apart from this, the interior and features are expected to be the same as revealed at the Bharat Mobility Expo, including a heads-up display and a 7-inch fully digital drivers display, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, anticipated features are six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESC).

Powertrain Option: Punchier Than Ever
The upcoming Altroz Racer Edition is poised to receive the 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine borrowed from the Nexon, boasting an output of 120hp and 170Nm of torque. This represents a notable enhancement of 10hp and 30Nm over the Altroz iTurbo variant. Enthusiasts can anticipate the Racer to be exclusively paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, complementing its performance-focused nature.
While the Tata Altroz Racer is slated for launch next month, expect the pricing to start at around Rs. 10.00 lakhs. It will rival the likes of Hyundai i20 N-Line, Maruti Fronx Turbo, and others.
