Design Updates on the Mid-Spec Model
The test mule reveals several interesting details about the mid-spec Harrier EV. Notably, the model features a new set of blacked-out alloy wheels, different from the diamond-cut alloys which were seen on the top-end variant of the SUV. This suggests that the vehicle spotted is positioned below the fully-loaded variant but will still retain a premium appeal.
On the exterior, the Harrier EV gets a blanked-off grille, tweaked bumpers, and a wraparound LED taillight setup, staying true to the futuristic styling of its EV identity. Despite being a mid-spec trim, it is likely to feature LED lighting elements and other signature design cues from the top-end version.
Harrier EV Mid-spec: Interiors
Moving inside, the cabin is expected to offer a balance between premium features and affordability. A two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and an auto-dimming IRVM are among the visible highlights. While it might miss out on some high-end touches like ventilated seats or a 360-degree camera, it is still expected to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver's display.
AWD Capabilities and Performance
The Harrier EV is based on Tata's advanced Acti.ev+ architecture and will come with a dual-motor setup. While the exact specifications remain under wraps, Tata has confirmed a driving range of approximately 500 km on a solitary charge. With an intelligent all-wheel-drive (AWD) system in place, the SUV promises a great mix of efficiency and off-road capability.
Expected Launch and Pricing
Tata Motors has yet to announce an official launch date, but with continuous testing, the Harrier EV's launch seems just around the corner. Pricing is expected to start at around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). If priced strategically well, it will emerge as a competitive rival to the Mahindra XUV.e9 and other upcoming electric SUVs.

Verdict
The Tata Harrier EV is shaping up to be a contender in the electric SUV space. Its mix of futuristic styling with AWD capability and a promising 500 km range. However, its success hinges on aggressive pricing. If Tata nails that, it could dominate the segment; if not, rivals like Mahindra XUV.e9 might steal the show.
