The company is dedicated to EVs and will continue to grow its EV range. In keeping with that commitment, on World EV Day 2022, the company has officially announced the launch Tata Tiago EV.

Upcoming Tata Tiago EV
When it comes to the drivetrain, it is anticipated to receive the same 26kWh high energy density Lithium-ion battery pack that powers the Tigor EV's electric drivetrain, which has an available output of 74 bhp of power and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The Tiago EV may receive the same battery pack with a range of 300 km on a single charge, while the certified range of this battery pack for the Tigor EV is 306 km. The Tigor EV requires 65 minutes to charge from 0% to 80% when using a 25kW DC charger and 8 hours and 45 minutes when using a 15A plug.
Also, the Tiago EV is expected to use the same Ziptron platform as its bigger sibling Tigor EV. The Tiago EV may feature the same feature and safety ratings as the ICE sibling. The Tiago ICE variant is one of the safest hatchback safest in its segment as it scored a global NCAP rating of 4 stars. Other safety features include a high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder, dual airbags at the front, rear parking sensors and more.

With only two electric vehicles now available, Tata Motors currently dominates the budget EV market. The company is reportedly developing 6 more electric vehicle models. The brand will enter the entry-level market with the release of the Tiago EV, which will also be the most reasonably priced EV model offered by Tata Motors.
