In terms of safety, the base variant of the Safari facelift offers six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill-hold control, cornering stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also comes with 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, complete with reminders, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Powertrain: Trusted & Familiar
Mechanically, the SUV remains consistent with its previous configurations. It comes equipped with a 170hp, 350Nm, 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, powering the front wheels. The vehicle features Terrain response modes (Normal, Rough, and Wet) and multiple drive modes (Eco, City & Sports). Meanwhile, Tata Motors claims that the suspension setup has been retuned to better adapt to Indian road conditions.
Tata Safari: Price And Rivals
The expected price for the Safari facelift is around Rs 16 to 17 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with vehicles like the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N, and Hyundai Alcazar in the market.
