The third-gen of Maruti Suzuki Swift is on the Indian market since 2016 and it is long that it is due for a facelift. Just before the lockdown happened, its sibling Dzire got a facelift. Sharing more details on the facelift of Maruti Swift then it borrows features from the Dzire. Yes, like the Dzire, the Swift is also expected to come with an updated petrol engine in order to return more fuel efficiency. Also, the interiors for the same will be customised and gets more features.
Coming to the leaked brochure then the Swift facelift gets tweaked bumper design, the addition of new machine cut alloy wheels, and the mesh grille up front. Updated Petrol Engine
Like the Dzire which gets the 1.2-litre petrol engine DualJet engine, we can expect the same to come in the Swift. The old VVT engine will be discontinued and transmission option on the same will continue to be 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT on offer.
New Colour Options
Like in that brochure, we can expect that the Flame Orange colour can come to Indian shores. The Sporty Yellow looks favourable on the Swift RS! With the addition of new colour options, we can also expect dual-tone colour schemes on the Swift which lacks in the current model.
Increased Power and Mileage
The new 1.2-litre DualJet petrol motor makes more power than before. It churns out 89 bhp on tap with 114 Nm of peak torque. Also, the ARAI certified fuel economy can be increased from 21 km/l to 24.12 km/l for AMT and 23.26 km/l for the 5-speed manual.

Updated Interiors
The facelifted Swift is also expected to come with improved interiors. For starters, we can expect an updated 7.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment screen with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with the navigation system and vehicle alerts. Other features like key-sync auto-foldable ORVMs, updated upholstery and more!
Increased Prices
With the updated design, improved features and a new engine, the prices of the Swift facelift are likely to increase. We can expect it to increase it from anywhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 for some trims. Currently, the Swift is priced from Rs 5.20 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
