2024 Maruti Dzire
The all new 2024 Maruti Dzire, which comes with 6 airbags as standard, has scored 5 stars for adult saftey and 4 stars for child protection. The new Dzire comes equipped with ABS with EBD, a 360-degree HD view camera, TPMS, speed-sensitive auto door locking, front seat belt pre-tensioners, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seats.
The car is set to launch on November 11th, 2024, and the hype around it is real. Additionally, this car is completely different in terms of design from the 4th-generation Swift, on which it is based. That said, it features the Z-series 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine, which achieves 24.79 kmpl with the manual gearbox, 25.71 kmpl with the AMT, and 33.73 km/kg with CNG.
This is huge news, as the 2024 Dzire is the first Maruti vehicle to achieve these impressive numbers. In comparison, the 3rd generation Dzire was found to be highly unsafe, earning only a 2-star safety rating.
David Ward, Executive President of the Towards Zero Foundation said,
'The new Dzires five star rating sets a significant safety benchmark for Maruti Suzuki compared to the previous version of this model and others from Maruti we have tested. Global NCAP warmly welcomes this milestone voluntary test result.
'We are optimistic that going forward Maruti will seek to achieve this high level of safety performance across their model range. If they do, it will be a vehicle safety game changer for Indian consumers.'
