Toyota GR Corolla 2023 Auto Expo: What We Know?
Globally introduced in the year 2022, the GR Corolla is based on the regular Toyota Corolla Sport, currently selling in various international markets. In order to spruce up the package, a slew of performance-oriented enhancements have been carried out by Gazoo Racing, and the hatchback is surely a purpose-built machine, in terms of both exterior design as well as mechanicals.
In terms of dimensions, a 60 mm wider track at the front and an 85 mm wider track at the rear end is what makes it different from the standard hatch and improves the cornering stability. To maintain the practicality aspect of the vehicle, GR decided to retain the 5-door layout with 5 passenger seating capacity. The extended fenders on both sides help to achieve a wider body stance and a host of air intakes have been added at the front end for better cooling.
Some of the stand-out elements inside the cabin include a full TFT meter, an all-black theme and a sporty set of steering wheel and pedals. The performance hatch is grounded by a set of 18-inch cash alloy wheels shod with 235/40R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4.

It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and power is channelled to all four wheels using the GR-FOUR 4WD system. The four-wheeler is capable of doing the 0-100 kmph sprint in just under 5 seconds.
