This fact is not hidden that Mahindra is working on a newly updated avatar of their sub-compact SUV. The upcoming 2023 Mahindra XUV300 has been spied testing yet again but in a very heavy camouflaged format. The new car will bring hosts of cosmetical as well as technical updates to the XUV300.
Mahindra's take on the sub-4 mt compact-SUV segment did not go as planned. The sales figures that Mahindra dreamt about the XUV300 were barely completed as the competition regularly uplifted the specification game. Now, Mahindra is readying a new XUV300 which is anticipated to bring the required changes which the current generation car lagged at places.

Although, the new spy shots are only about the tail of the upcoming car, and even the car itself has been very tightly camouflaged by Mahindra's R&D team; we can at least see the little updates from these photos. For example, the tailgate design now seems more flat than curvy than the current car. Also, the partially visible tail lights seem to have been redesigned, and also looks like the new XUV300 will use an LED setup at the rear profile as well.
There have been many renderings about the design of this upcoming car which are hovering all over the internet. The anticipation in the automotive world is that the new uplifted XUV300 will feature a new and aggressive front profile design that shall use the cues inspired by the newly launched XUV700 SUV. This means that the new update shall feature a C-shaped all-LED headlight treatment like the bigger SUV. We also expect the new car to posses new alloy wheel design and other cosmetic tweaks on the outside.
The interior design is also expected to be new as the facelifted car shall feature a new semi-digital instrument console alongside a new bigger and better infotainment system which is also stated on the internet; inspired by the XUV700 itself.

Technically Mahindra is working on a new 1.2-Lt mStallion turbocharged-petrol engine which shall produce a peak power of up to 130 bhp & peak torque of 230 Nm when launched. The already reliable and hoot to drive 1.5-Lt, turbo-diesel will also mark its way down with the new update of XUV300. Expect the 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT automatic transmissions to be offered in the facelifted car as well.
Mahindra has already officially announced that they are planning to launch the new XUV300 in the Q3-Q4 of the FYI22-23, equating that the new car will either be launched by the end of this year or at the start of the next year. Pricings will surely go higher than the current generation car due to new features and specification additions.
