Honda Elevate Variants & Their Feature Details
As seen in this leaked photo, the Honda Elevate will be offered in 4 different variants. These will be SV (entry version), V (mid version), VX (high version), & ZX (top version). Now the details of features for these variants are as follows:
SV (Entry Variant)
The SV version will offer the most basic tech. However, some features on it are offered on the mid-variants of its rivals. For example, the projector headlights, LED taillights, LED headlights, automatic climate control, 16-inch steel wheels, etc. But, it'll not get basic features as such the audio system. Meanwhile, Honda will offer the push button start/stop as a standard feature on it.
V (Mid Varaint)
With all of the features of the SV, the V version will additionally get more creature comfort. For example, it'll get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 4 speakers. Also, it'll have Android Auto & Apple CarPlay tech. Additionally, it will come with Honda Connect, Steering mounted audio controls, & a reverse camera as well.
VX (Second Top Variant)
We guess it'll become the best-selling version of the Elevate. Why so? Well, it gets the best of both worlds. If what the leaked photo states is true, then, the VX will get an electric sunroof, R17 diamond cut alloy wheels, Lane Watch camera, wireless phone charging, LED projector foglamps, & 6-speaker music system.
ZX (Top Varaint)
Now, the features which were shown on the debut model will only make it to the top variant. How so? The ZX version will get Honda Sense which is an ADAS level 1 tech. Additionally, leather upholstery, side & curtain airbags, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8 speakers for the music system, auto-dimming IRVM, & chrome treatment on the door handles.
Engine & Specifications
Honda will offer the Elevate with a single-engine option only. It is going to be the same engine as seen on the City sedan. The 1.5-lt naturally-aspirated petrol engine makes 121 PS of peak power. It'll be offered with an option of a 6-speed MT or a CVT automatic transmission. Most of the chassis has been derived from the City as well. However, Honda has no plans to bring the strong hybrid to the Elevate. Instead, Honda plans to introduce an EV version of it in the coming future.
Verdict
The Honda Elevate will be the first mid-size SUV from the company in India. It will offer the best of features like Honda Sense and it is destined to compete with the rivals like Hyundai Creta & Maruti Grand Vitara. Scheduled to launch by Diwali, we suspect that it'll be priced around Rs 10-18 lakh (expected).
