Mahindra XUV e9 SUV Headlight Design
Visible in the leaked design patent, the headlight of the e9 EV looks inspired by the Mahindra XUV700. However, it is larger in size and the angular C-shaped DRL is stretched vertically. This DRL incorporates a dual-projector setup; that is suspected to be full-LED. The upper projector is a single unit while the lower setup is a tri-paired layout. It is also possible that the lower setup is only an LED and not a projector. Both of the main beam lights are surrounded by C-shaped DRLs; which are possibly turn indicators.
Mahindra is currently working on two different EV SUV lineups. One of these is going to be called the BE series while the other will be 'e' series. This headlight design will be used on the 'e' series SUVs which includes the upcoming Mahindra e8 and its coupe version e9. For now, there are no details available regarding the e9 and e8 but online rumours suggest that both of the SUVs will get a range of more than 500 km.
Mahindra's EV SUVs will be premium offerings. It is also possible that Mahindra will introduce a new brand and separate showrooms for its upcoming EV lineup. It would provide a premium ownership experience and buying experience to future customers.
