A few months back Mahindra patented a triple-screen setup for its upcoming electric SUVs. The brand is extensively testing its upcoming electric SUV lineup and the test mule of these SUVs has been spotted on test multiple times. Mahindra XUV.e9 Triple Screen Setup
The newly spotted test mule has revealed the dashboard layout of the upcoming XUV.e9 electric SUV. The SUV will boast a triple-screen layout with a dedicated driver's display, a central infotainment screen, and a dedicated screen for the front seat passenger which will offer controls for music, radio, and other inbuilt applications.
Moreover, the interior will get a new two-spoke steering with steering-mounted controls, and HVAC control similar to the XUV 700 among other interior highlights.
Mahindra XUV.e9 Electric Coupe Design
The upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV will boast a coupe styling with a sloping coupe roofline, and a connected LED taillamp at the rear. The front gets an aggressive stance and features LED headlamps at the front with LED DRLs and an aggressive front bumper. The side profile of the SUV gets flush door handles and aerodynamic alloy wheels.
The XUV.e9 will be based on Mahindra's INGLO platform which is specifically made for EVs. It is expected to come with a single-motor configuration with RWD and a dual-motor configuration with AWD setup. Moreover, we can expect the upcoming electric SUV to come with a 75-80 kWh battery pack with a range of 650-700 km on a single charge.
Verdict
Mahindra is planning to launch its first all-electric SUV based on the INGLO platform in 2025. The brand is preparing multiple electric SUVs for the Indian market and all of them are expected to boast segment leading features and a good range.
