With the festive season approaching in the market, Volkswagen has rejigged the variant line up by bringing in a special red and white edition to both Polo and Vento. Been in the market for a decade now, Volkswagen is looking forward to the sales with these special editions.

Coming to the special editions of both Polo and Vento then they have been priced at Rs 9.20 lakh and Rs 11.49 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi respectively. This special edition model of Polo is based on the Highline Plus AT variant while for the Vento it is based on the Highline AT variant.
Volkswagen Polo Red and White Special Edition
As for the prices, this special red and white edition costs the same as the Highline Plus AT on which it is based. It gets candy white, flash red and sunset red colour schemes with blacked-out roof, spoiler and wing mirrors. You also get 'Red and White' badging on the front fender and decals have been provided to bring out the fresh look.
One can also replace the contrast black scheme on the Flash Red colour with the white colour option. It gives a striking new look to the Polo then. Feature-wise, the Polo gets a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped gear knob, cooled glove box and among other features.

Volkswagen Vento Special Edition
The C-Segment sedan gets the same treatment as found in the Polo special edition but missed out on the flashy red colour scheme. That is only available with the Polo as of now. Even if the sedan is a decade old, one can say it gets a timeless design and looks fresh with just little updates. These Germans are truly loved by enthusiasts.

This Special Edition is based on the second to the top, Highline AT variant, it surely misses out on the leatherette upholstery, projector headlights with integrated LED DRLs, side airbags and much more. However, it does get 15-inch alloy wheels, touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rain-sensing wipers and much more.
Mechanically, both the cars get the same 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine for these special editions. This three-cylinder unit makes as much as 110 bhp with a peak torque of 175 Nm. It is good for city runs and on the highways, it asks to be revved higher. This motor gets 6-speed as standard gearbox and an optional 6-speed torque converter. The special editions get the latter one.
