On March 7, Volkswagen India unveiled the Virtus, a mid-size premium sedan. The Virtus has caused a stir in India's sedan sector with its stunning appearance and a slew of features. A Volkswagen Virtus GT was recently spotted unmasked ahead of its launch in May 2022. Virtus manufacturing has already begun at the company's Chakan, Maharashtra facility.

The test mule was spotted by Autolive1 is the top of the line Virtus GT trim and coated in a white colour palette along with black alloys and red brake callipers.
Volkswagen Virtus Specifications and Features
The VW Virtus has two turbo-petrol engines, one of which is a little 1.0-litre TSI that produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine is standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with a six-speed automatic transmission available as an option. The other engine is a 1.5-litre TSI EVO that delivers 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on this engine, although a seven-speed DSG gearbox is available as an option.
The exterior is well-designed, with 16-inch alloy wheels, crisp shoulder lines, chrome window strip, door handles, and front grille lining are some of the standout exterior details. In the front, there are LED projector lights, halogen fog lamps, and LED daytime running lights. In addition, the Volkswagen Virtus GT line is distinguished by a small rear boot spoiler, glossy black razor alloy wheels, blacked ORVMs among other GT specific details

Volkswagen has packed a plethora of features onto the Virtus' cabin. The new sedan features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8-speakers, a KESSY push-button start, ventilated leather front seats, and 60:40 split-folding seats. Among other things, it has automatic climate control, connected car technology, wireless charging, and an electric sunroof.
