UPDATED ON 2nd Feb - we spotted the car without any camouflage - read more HERE
Morris Garages, abbreviated as the MG, launched the MG ZS EV as one of the first EV passenger vehicles in India. Having acquired a decent market share, MG has presented a positive response towards customer feedback all over the years, including significant updates, be it software or hardware, and presented an updated version after its launch to stay upright in the EV race. An MG ZS EV facelift was recently spied dressed in a heavy camouflage, but someone managed to get a few spy shots of this upcoming SUV.
From the EV portfolio on offer in India, the ZS EV rivals the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Kona. MG ZS EV is less efficient when compared to the Hyundai Kona but packs a bigger battery pack and is expected to get an even bigger and more efficient drivetrain which would be at par with the ZS EV available abroad.
We don't expect major changes in the front fascia of the MG ZS EV Facelift as per the spy shots. Moreover, the ZS EV has a stance of an SUVish hatchback which is either a hit or a miss. We can see the cameras protruding out along with the sensors in the front, therefore, can suspect ADAS features from the MG Astor being brought into the MG ZS EV.
With the interior spy shots, a lot of elements like the infotainment system layout, AC vents and the steering wheels seem to be derived from the MG Astor. With red stitch accents on the steering wheel and the gear console, the use of soft-touch is highly suspected and apparently, the dashboard has a carbon-fibre-like finish.
