Ola Electric Scooter Details
The much anticipated Ola electric scooter could be launched in the coming weeks since the booking has already begun. The electric scooter will have three different variants- Series S, S1 and S1 pro. In addition to this, customers can avail different colour options- Matte black which makes the scooter look classy, Matte pink which makes it funky and sky blue which resembles youthfulness.
Ola has started the booking for the Series S as of now, however, the option to choose a colour and variant will be provided to the customers in a later period. Ola is yet to reveal the full specification of the scooter but one can expect it in the coming days. However, few features of the scooter are already known by the customers like the ability to juice up the scooter through a 5A socket and a 'Hypercharger' as Ola would like to call it. The Hypercharger facility will be made available in 100 cities before the launch of the e-scooter. Ola has mentioned that it has plans to expand the network to about 400 cities within a short span of time.
As for the prices, Ola has not yet revealed it, however, it is expected to be launched at an affordable price, standing as a competitor to the likings of other brands in the electric two-wheeler space. The Ather 450X could be one of the strongest competitors towards the customer likings of the Ola electric scooter. The e-scooter from Ola could have similar acceleration levels as that of the Ather 450X. The Ather 450X can reach up to 60kmph in 6.5 seconds which is impressive, so a similar potential could be expected from ola's electric scooter.
Ola has stated that its under-seat storage capacity is the best in the segment and the vehicle could solve the problem of range anxiety as it provides a decent range capacity of 100km/charge. It has features such as twin-LED headlamps with DRL coupled with led turn indicators in the front. The images released by Ola showcases a single-side suspension setup in the front and a horizontally mounted mono-shock suspension in the rear. It also gets 12-inch alloy wheels and the instrument cluster shows all the basic necessary details.
Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric said, "Indias EV revolution is off to an explosive start. Huge thanks to the 100,000+ revolutionaries whove joined us and reserved their scooters. I am thrilled by the tremendous response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The unprecedented demand is a clear indicator of shifting consumer preferences to EVs."
The Ola electric scooter has indeed had an explosive start, the launch is soon expected to happen, so grab on to your seats as ola comes with a huge momentum in sales to shock the electric two-wheeler segment.
