Maruti Suzuki Eeco is not a new car for Indians. Maruti used to sell exactly the same car with name Versa before. It then later named Eeco and received a BS6 update recently. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco also replaces the old Maruti Omni as the most affordable 7 seater from the company. Maruti Suzuki Eeco is offered in 5-seater and 7-seater variants. Maruti also sells commercial and Ambulance variants of the Eeco. Let's see what Maruti Suzuki Eeco offers in 2020 in its first look review.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco First Look Review - Exteriors
Maruti Suzuki Eeco gets very conventional exterior design and it hasn't been changed since its India debut. If we talk about dimensions first, the Eeco measures 3675mm in length, 1475mm in width and 1825mm in height and offers a wheelbase of 2350mm. The design of the Eeco is very basic, as the case with every other van of this segment. We get sliding doors at the rear for easy ingress and egress. Exterior elements like wheel caps, body-coloured bumpers and fog lights have been given a miss in the Eeco.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco First Look Review - Interiors and Features
The same conventional part goes to the interiors as well. We get a flat dashboard design and the lower part has been left empty. The heat flow of both the Omni and Eeco has never been good as the engine is mounted down below the front row seats. If we talk about the features on offer, the Eeco gets air conditioning, driver airbag, ABS, seatbelt reminders, rear parking sensors and speed sensing alarm. As the Eeco is aimed at the commercial segment, we don't get fancy stuff like touchscreen system and other comfort features.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco First Look Review - Engine and Performance
Maruti Suzuki Eeco gets a 1.2-litre G12B petrol engine which, in the petrol variants, churns out 72 bhp and 98 Nm of torque. If you opt for the CNG trim, the power reduces to 61.6bhp and 85 Nm of torque. Both the petrol and CNG engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and it doesn't offer any automatic gearbox. If we talk about the fuel economy, the Eeco returns 16.11 km/l in petrol trims and 20.88 km/kg in CNG trims.

The 7 seater STD variant is priced at Rs 4.10 lakh and all the prices mentioned are ex-showroom, New Delhi. If we talk about rivals, the Eeco doesn't have any direct rivals but you can expand your budget and get the Renault Triber.
