We have been waiting for the 2020 Hyundai Verna since long and mostly we have been updating you with the top-spec features. But how about the base variant of 2020 Hyundai Verna and it's features? Well, in this video we tell you how the lower-spec model of new Verna looks like!
In the video, the base variant 'S' of 2020 Hyundai Verna is explained in a detailed manner with all its design and features. At the front, it gets halogen headlights, glossy black grille, towing hook and a chrome lip on the lower part of the bumper.
The side profile gets 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. Please note, the top-spec model of the Verna will get 16-inches diamond-cut alloy wheels. You also get indicators on ORVMs and they are adjustable, body-coloured door handles and more.

Sharing details on the inside then you get a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Do notice the steering mounted controls, manual AC, adjustable front seat armrest, analogue instrument cluster and among others.
Hyundai continues with the dual-tone beige and black treatment on the inside and we are sure that the turbo variant will only see seats in a single colour. Also, the exterior shades of the turbo petrol might see some special treatment as we have seen on the Nios and Aura Turbo petrol.
Safety features on this base trim continue with dual airbags, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, High-speed Alert System, Front seat belt reminder, Rear parking sensors with reverse parking camera and more.

Under the hood, the 2020 Hyundai Verna will get three engine options - two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel churns 115 bhp on tap and will get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The petrol and diesel will get CVT and 6-speed AT as optional too. The turbo petrol is derived straight from the Venue and will produce 120 bhp with 172 Nm of peak torque. It comes in a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Once launched the all-new Verna will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, New Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Yaris and Skoda Rapid. The bookings of the mid-size sedan are open at Rs 25,000 across all dealerships and we can expect its launch sometime in April soon.
