Maruti Suzuki recently teased a 360: View Camera on the infotainment system of the new Baleno, which turns out to be a first in segment feature. Gone are the days when this feature used to be a luxury. It could be retrofitted in any vehicle but now comes standard in cars of this segment as well. This feature is known by many names in different corners of the world, like surround view cameras, bird eye view cameras and what not. Essentially, this system comprises of a set of cameras which altogether present the image of the vehicle with the whereabouts to give a fair idea to the driver about the surroundings. This feature actually turns out to be a boon for people who find it challenging to use rear view mirrors to reverse and rely only on the parking sensors and a single reverse camera. 360: view cameras are significantly beneficial in tight parking situations or when manoeuvring in bumper to bumper traffic.
