However, Maruti has now launched its elder sibling, the Alto K10 in the Indian market. While the segment is totally different, they do share the same moniker, Alto. As can be seen, the 1.0L motor of the K10 surely has an advantage over the smaller 0.8L of the Alto 800. Even the ARAI-certified mileage of the 1.0L motor is higher when compared with the Alto 800. However, the Alto 800 currently has an advantage over Alto K10 and that is, the availability of CNG as an alternate fuel option.
With CNG, the Alto 800 belts out a peak power and torque of 40 bhp and 60 Nm, respectively. The ARAI-certified mileage of the CNG Alto sticks to 31.59 km/kg which is quite higher.
In other news, Maruti will soon launch the CNG version of the Alto K10 in the Indian market.
2022 Maruti Alto K10 vs Alto 800 - Prices and Warranty
Sharing details about the recently launched Alto K10 then it is priced from Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.83 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
On the other hand, the Alto 800 is priced from 3.39 lakh to Rs 4.41 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Both the vehicles are offered with 2 years/40,000 km warranty, whichever is at the earliest.
