Maruti commenced the bookings of the all-new 2022 Brezza on June 20 and so far it has grabbed more than 1 lakh bookings so far. The bookings were open from Rs 11,000 and the compact SUV was launched on June 30, 2022. We share with you the reasons behind its major success in the Indian market.
Fuel Efficient Petrol Motor
The new Brezza gets a 1.5-litre, DualJet motor with mild-hybrid tech. It generates a peak power and torque of 102 bhp and 136.8 Nm, respectively. This engine gets mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option. The ARAI-certified fuel economy sticks to 20.1 kmpl for the MT and 19.8 kmpl for the 6-speed AT.

Features
The new Brezza is equipped with features up to the brim. It gets an electric sunroof, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, push-button start/stop, LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, steering mounted audio controls, ventilated cooled seats and more.
Safety-rich SUV
The new Brezza gains on several safety features as well. Overall, it gets six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic force distribution, electronic stability control, hill hold control, brake assist, a high-speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, speed sensing door locks and more.

Variants
Maruti offers the new Brezza in four variants only. In comparison, its rival, Tata Nexon is available in 75 variants. Yes, 75 variants in total.

Both the ZXI as well as ZXI Plus trims are available with dual-tone colour options too.
Price
The new Brezza is priced from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 13.96 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Yes, it is more expensive than before but the compact SUV also gains several features too. Furthermore, it gets a new engine with improved fuel economy and a 6-speed AT.
