2023 Maruti Baleno Cross SUV has been spied on test again. This time, the test mule was seen with the Toyota sibling car which could be the Glanza Cross.
Maruti discontinued the S-Cross not so long ago. The crossover was known for good build quality and well-put engineering. For the folks who wander the showrooms trying to get their hands on a similar car, Maruti has good news. The 2023 Maruti Baleno Cross SUV was spied on a test run. This time, it was not all alone as it was being accompanied by its Toyota sibling. The sibling car might be called Toyota Glaza Cross in the future.

2023 Maruti Baleno Cross SUV Details
Speaking of the spied test car, it is more or less likely to be based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Yes, the upcoming crossover that is seen in the spy photos is a version of Baleno itself. The overall design resembles is uncanny to Baleno. However, the outlook has been tuned differently for obvious reasons.
The body panels seem to have been reworked in a format to achieve a crossover look. The front end sees a butch bonnet outlook along with a wide and fat bumper. Similarly, the side profile has also been redone. How? Well, the side profile now seems lifted up. This possibly means the reworked suspension to offer a more rugged appeal. At the rear, one can easily spot the new C-pillar hinged stop brake LED lights. Additionally, the taillights, the boot lid, and the rear bumper have altogether been uplifted.
We suspect that Maruti is likely to offer a worked version of the 1.5-Lt K15C motor on this car as well. Maruti has codenamed it YTB and the showcase it is expected in the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2023. We also anticipate that this coupe-cum-SUV might come equipped with Suzuki's ALLGRIP as seen on the Grand Vitara SUV.
Toyota Glanza Cross Details
As a part of the Maruti-Toyota pact, the new Baleno Cross will have a sibling from Toyota as well. Not so surprising to anticipate that, the upcoming model was also seen testing along with the Baleno Cross. While both of the cars were totally camouflaged, the design will remain different.
This is bound to happen as both of the brands have their own design language and design entities. The past is witness to this fact as Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has been shaped differently when compared to its sibling from Maruti. However, engine and spec-wise both of these cars are bound to offer the same technology.
