2023 Maruti Suzuki Fronx - PROS
Design
The first & foremost positive is its design. Maruti has gone a step ahead in terms of design evolution with the Fronx. While the new crossover is based on Baleno itself; Fronx looks distinguished as well as striking altogether. The front-end design looks like a baby Grand Vitara with tri-slated LED DRLs and tri-LED headlights. Also, the shoulder body lines at the front and back look muscular. Meanwhile, the new diamond-cut butterfly wing design of the alloy wheels is going to be loved by a lot of customers. At the rear, the Fronx looks very different than the Baleno. With the Fronx, Maruti has focused more on premiumness as well as quality. Speaking of the overall fit & finish, Fronx offers higher levels of it when compared to the Baleno. Meanwhile, Baleno itself is known for the good quality of fit & finish of interiors but the Fronx takes it one step ahead. This 4-cylinder unit is offered with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission options. However, the top variants of Fronx get the 1.0-lt turbocharged booster jet engine. This engine is offered with a 5-speed manual as well as 6-speed AT torque converter gearbox options. Based On Baleno
While the Fronx is a completely fresh design in Maruti's lineup; it still derives its underpinnings from Baleno. Additionally, the cost of Baleno is expected to be much less once the prices of Fronx are announced. Due to the use of high-quality materials, more features, & especially premium design; Maruti is suspected to price Fronx a notch above Baleno.
Safety
Maruti has decently equipped Fronx with the latest safety features but it is still pending to be tested by GNCAP. Meanwhile, at its debut event of it, Maruti claimed that the Fronx has been crash-tested internally and the crossover stands at par with segment rivals. However, until the Fronx is actually tested by a crash test agency; its safety parameter of it will remain a confusing question.
Price
While Maruti has still not announced the pricing of Fronx, we expect that it will be placed at a premium point. How? Well, being a crossover it will be put either equivalent to or a toad above the Brezza itself. Leave aside the Baleno, the Fronx will be at least Rs 1 lakh plus in terms of the price difference. Hence, be ready for the premium pricing of the Fronx. Even if Maruti introduces it at an exciting price; the introductory prices will be revised sooner or later.
