As expected earlier, the upcoming 2024 Maruti Dzire launch is happening soon. As per the latest online report, the new-gen Dzire is all set to be launched in August. 2024 Maruti Dzire: What Will Be New?
Maruti launched the new-gen Swift in May, and it received a great response from customers. Based on the same platform, the popular compact sedan Dzire, is soon going to receive a generation upgrade. It has been confirmed in an online report that the 4th-gen Dzire will launch in India by the end of August. It will be based on the new Heartect platform, identical to the Swift. This extended platform will house the new Z12E, three-cylinder, petrol engine. The power and torque output of the new Dzire will also be similar to the new Swift. However, its fuel economy could be higher than the outgoing model. It will continue being offered with a manual and an AMT gearbox options.
The design of Dzire has always been identical to Swift. But, this time, the Dzire will get a different fascia with stretched LED headlights and an aggressive nose design. The side profile will get new alloy wheels while the rear design will get updated LED lights and a new bumper. The 4th-gen Dzire test car has already been spotted with a sunroof, meaning that the top-spec model will be equipped with it. On the inside, an updated cabin with a new dashboard, bigger infotainment screen, and better features like wireless charging and 360-degree camera, will be offered.
The current rivals of the Maruti Dzire are the Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. While Tigor is doing mediocre sales, Aura is selling like hotcakes. Thanks to the CNG variants, Aura is preferred by cab owners for its luxury and space. The new-gen Dzire will be initially introduced only with the Z-series petrol engine. The CNG variants are likely to be introduced before this year's end. The pricing of the new Dzire will be hiked by a few thousand for sure. We are expecting it to be positioned somewhere between Rs 7-10 lakh.

Verdict
The new-gen Swift has been accepted fairly well by costumers, considering the lack of enthusiasm from the new Z-series engine. However, Dzire has always been a family car and the new petrol engine will do justice to its moniker.
