Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the new-gen Swift in India at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Swift comes with an updated design, new features, and an all-new engine which is more fuel efficient. 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The first test mule of the new-gen Dzire was spotted a few months back, covered in heavy camouflage. The test mule showed a distinctive design for the front and rear bumpers, we can anticipate it to get minor changes to the bumper design. The headlamps will get a redesign which could be similar to the new-gen Swift. The front bumper and the grille might get a little tweak in design to differentiate it from the Swift. Moreover, many design elements will likely be shared with the new-generation Swift.
On the features front, we can expect it to get a new dashboard design with a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new HVAC control panel, AC vent design, a new analog instrument cluster, a rear AC vent, 6-airbags as standard fitment, among other features similar to the new-gen Swift. Moreover, the previously spotted test mule featured an electric sunroof, indicating the brand's intention to introduce the Dzire with an electric sunroof.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Engine
The new-gen Swift is expected to get the same 1.2-litre Z12E 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is a new unit that is tuned to offer good fuel efficiency and the brand claims that it reduces the carbon footprint by 12%. This engine produces 81.58 PS of power and 112 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option. The claimed fuel economy of this engine is 24.80 kmpl with the manual gearbox. The AMT unit gives an efficiency of 25.75 kmpl.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire - Launch & Pricing
The new-gen Dzire is anticipated to launch in the second half of the year and most probably during the festive season. Maruti Suzuki might follow the same pricing tactic as the new-gen Swift. The pricing of the new-gen Swift is Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 costlier than the previous generation and we can expect the same price increase in the upcoming Dzire.
