For the last few days, Tata Motors has been teasing its upcoming Coupe SUV the Curvv EV and ICE version on its social media platforms. Now, the forthcoming Tata Curvv SUV's launch date has been revealed and is scheduled to take place on 7 August. The Curvv will be available in an EV and ICE powertrain options. Tata Curvv Coupe SUV
The upcoming Tata Curvv SUV was revealed in its almost production-ready form at the Bharat Mobility Show earlier this year. The brand is now all set to launch the SUV on 7th August. The brand will launch the Curvv with an EV and ICE powertrain. The brand has been teasing the fully camouflaged test mules for the last few days revealing minor details of the upcoming SUV.
If we talk about the design, the SUV will boast a coupe design language with a fully connected LED DRL at the front, a closed-off grille like an EV, petal-shaped dual-tone alloy wheels, and flush-type door handles connected to an LED tail lamp. On the interior, it will boast features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo among other features.
Tata Curvv Coupe SUV Powertrain
The ICE version of the Curvv will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of peak torque. This engine is expected to be paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCA transmission. The other engine option for the ICE version will be a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 115 PS of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. This is expected to be mated with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
The powertrain details of the EV version are still under wraps but it is expected to be paired with a 40-45 kWh battery pack with a range of 450-500 km on a single charge.

Verdict
Tata Curvv will mark the entry of Tata Motors in the mid-size SUV segment. The Curvv will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, KIA Seltos, MG Astor and other mid-size SUVs. The pricing is anticipated to be in the range of Rs 11-18 lakh (ex-showroom)
