BYD has finally launched their much-awaited and feature-loaded electric SUV in the market, Atto 3. It is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This electric SUV rivals the popular MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV in the Indian market. In this article, we share with you its 3 top highlights that you need to know!
Battery-spec and Performance
Powered by a 60.48 kWh battery pack, it belts out 201 bhp of power with a peak torque of 310 Nm. The certified driving range as per ARAI sticks to 521 km which is a lot. In real-world driving conditions, it can easily stick between 400 km to 450 km upon normal driving conditions.

The Atto 3 can be charged from 0 to 80% via a fast charger in just 50 minutes while charging from a regular AC source takes about 9.5 to 10 hours. Yes, it is a lot but Atto 3 also provides a good driving range too. Performance-wise, 0 kmph to 100 kmph sprint is achieved in just 7.3 seconds which is just amazing.
Features
It is equipped with a 12.8-inch adaptive rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, power-folding ORVMs, keyless entry and more.
Safety
On the safety front, Atto 3 has scored 5 stars at the Euro NCAP crash test which is quite good. It scored 91% in the safety of adult occupancy and 89% in child occupancy. Other safety features include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring system, a high-speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, hill hold control, hill descent control and more. Overall, this EV is not only safe but also provides a decent driving range too along with good performance.

All in all, the price of the BYD Atto 3 might seem high but the package they're offering is quite good. Also, the driving range is what matters and the Atto 3 can be a premium alternative to those buying the MG ZS EV or the Hyundai Kona EV.
