Select Citroen dealerships have started taking bookings for their upcoming entry-level car, C3. This Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis rival will be launched in June and pack in features loaded up to the brim to rival the competition and mark a place in the Indian car industry.
Mechanically, there is no information from the carmaker but according to the reports, we expect the C3 to be offered with a 1.2-litre, non-turbo petrol and turbocharged petrol engine options. The French carmaker will not be introducing an oil burner because of the poor sales in this segment. It will be made available in manual transmission only.
Feature-wise, it will get a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a multi-function steering wheel with tilt adjustment, manual AC, a digital instrument cluster, diamond-cut alloy wheels, halogen lights with LED daytime running lights and more.

Safety equipment on the C3 includes dual airbags at the front, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, front seat belt reminder, a high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors, a reverse parking camera and more.
On the design front, the Citroen C3 borrows inspiration from its elder sibling, the C5 Aircross. The front grille, split headlight set-up and the body cladding with colour contrast are to name a few. Like the C5 Aircross, the C3 too gets a heavy dose of body cladding that goes well with the car and the dual-tone treatment is observed in the fog light housing, ORVM caps and on the roof.
