Renault Kwid was the first player to start the micro SUV concept in the Indian market and it was an instant hit. People loved its big and flamboyant looks and value for money prepositions. The segment was so popular that the biggest car manufacturer of India - Maruti Suzuki come ahead with their Spresso which rivals the Kwid. The Datsun Redi-go, on the other hand, was not as much popular as both these cars owing to its cheap interiors and lack of features. Now Datsun has given a complete makeover to its Red-go and it looks and feels more polished now. Hence we have prepared a Redi-go Vs Kwid Vs Spresso spec comparison.

Redi-go Vs Kwid Vs Spresso - Design and Dimensions
Talking about the Redi-go' design first, it has received a major makeover and it now looks really appealing. The new L-shaped LED DRLs, bigger chrome-surrounded grille and new LED taillights have uplifted its exteriors. Also, the new 14-inch wheels with dual-tone wheel covers look great. The interior is the main talking point of the Datsun Redi-go as it is all new. The ORVMs are now internally adjustable which is still missing in the Kwid.
Renault also gave the Kwid a major makeover which includes new features and BS6 engines. Still, the Kwid, with its new LED DRLs and split headlights setup, looks the most modern and appealing when compared to the competition. However, it still misses out on internally adjustable ORVMs. Rest of the interior of the Kwid is ergonomic and packs generous amount of features too!
Coming to the Spresso, we are not so fond of the way it looks but Maruti's main focus was to give it an SUV appeal and they are successful in it. The tall bonnet and upright A-pillar gives it the SUV road presence for sure. The interiors are also featured pack too which also includes steering mounted controls, which is not available in the other two cars here.

Length | 3429mm | 3731mm | 3565mm |

Height | 1541mm | 1474mm | 1549mm |
Wheelbase | 2348mm | 2422mm | 2380mm |
At the time of writing this comparison, we don't have the exact dimensions of the Redi-go. Due to the new pedestrian and crash test norms, there will be some changes made but that won't affect the dimensions much. We have considered the pre-facelifted version of the Redi-go here and the dimensions of the pre-facelifted Redi-go are the smallest. The Kwid is longer, wider and sports the biggest wheelbase among the three cars but Spresso is the tallest car here. Spresso will provide the best vertical space whereas the horizontal space will be neck to neck in the three cars
Redi-go Vs Kwid Vs Spresso - Interiors & Features
The Redi-go, as we told earlier, has got revamped interiors and its a big jump from what it had on offer before. It now sports textured materials with silver accents, a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play borrowed from the Kwid, two-tone instrument panel, rear bottle holders and metal-finished inner door handles.
The Kwid also received a facelift last year which added a new 8.0-touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, dual airbags, new steering wheel, two-pot digital instrument cluster, rear power windows and 14-inch wheels with other features to the exteriors as well. Overall, the Kwid' interiors look modern and tech-laden. And some orange inserts in the 'Climber' trim also uplifts the overall ambience.
The Spresso' interiors are the funkiest and the most dramatic here. Be it the Mini inspired central ring or the centrally placed digital speedometer, its looks segment apart. And here comes the case of some will like it and some won't. The Spresso is feature-loaded too with a 7.0-inch touchscreen that sports both Android Auto and Apple Car Play, steering mounted controls, front power windows and other features.

If you look closely, despite having similar powerfigures, the Spresso twists out most of its torque at early 3500rpm which is much lower when compared to Kwid' 4250rpm. At the time of writing this comparison, we don't have the actual price figures of the Datsun Redi-go but it will fall in the same region we have mentioned above. Whereas the Spresso lacks some features in its base trims. We are waiting for the Redi-go' prices to come for the actual verdict.
