Mahindra is extensively testing its upcoming range of electric vehicles which are expected to make a debut in 2025. The brand has been testing multiple vehicles and all these electric SUVs will be part of Mahindra's EV expansion plan. Recently, our community member Ullas Raj spotted a test mule of the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 SUV in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The recent spotting has revealed some new details about the boot space, rear seat, and front center console of the upcoming SUV. Mahindra XUV.e9 Electric - Boot Space
In the recent spotting, the boot space of the upcoming SUV has been seen. The upcoming XUV.e9 will feature a liftback boot opening, providing ample rear storage space, as seen in the pictures. This liftback design offers more room for luggage. Moreover, the rear seats of the upcoming electric SUV will be individually foldable and reclinable, for enhanced practicality. The tailgate seems to be a powered one for better convenience.
On the interior, the seats are covered with a lighter shade of leatherette material. At the front, the SUV will boast a new center console with an automatic gear lever, two-cup holders, an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, and a rotary dial for mode selection. Other features, visible in the photos are a two-spoke steering wheel with controls, dual-connected screens for infotainment, and an instrument cluster
The exterior was covered in heavy camouflage but gave a glimpse of the design language. It will boast a coupe-like styling and resembles the concept model shown by Mahindra previously. It will boast an LED headlamp and tail lamp, aerodynamic alloy wheels, an integrated tailgate, and a roof spoiler.
Mahindra XUV.e9 Powertrain
Mahindra has not yet revealed the exact details of the powertrain of the upcoming EV. We anticipate it to come with a 60-80 kWh battery pack. The EV will be able to support fast charging up to 175 kW, allowing it to charge from 0-80% in 30 minutes.

Verdict
Mahindra is eyeing big on electric vehicle segment, the brand has been testing multiple vehicles which are expected to be launched in the coming years. The brand has created a new Born Electric platfrom specifically for the electric vehicles which will give them a different identity.
