The highly anticipated Mahindra XUVe8 has been spotted multiple times as of now. However, today we have some exclusive spy shots to show! Recently, we got a closeup of the upcoming Mahindra.e8 (electric XUV700) from a member of our WhatsApp Community, Ullus Rajthe recent spy shots of the e.8 come from Salem, Tamil Nadu. The closeup shot gives us a clear idea of the upcoming electric SUV's front fascia and rear design. Check out more details and see the images of the recently spotted test mule below. Front Fascia
The recently spotted test mule suggests that the upcoming electric SUV will get some differentiating design elements. The electric SUV gets a full-length light bar and a blanked-off grille which looks aggressive. Also, there is an upgraded bumper and headlight units. Apart from this, you can see EV-specific elements like air-inlets on the SUV.
Rear Design
The rear profile also seems to be heavily inspired by the XUV700. However, there are some tweaks here too. The upcoming electric SUV has an upgraded rear bumper which looks similar to the XUV700 taillight units. Though it's not visible in our spy shots, the electric XUV700 also get a roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, high-mounted stop lamps and a rear wiper.
Interior
Unlike, the front and rear design, the Mahindra XUVe8 gets an all-new interior. In the recent spotting, it is visible with a twin-spoke steering wheel, an upgraded driver's display with a new user interface, a bigger infotainment screen and, a new gear selector. Also, there will be a new screen for the co-driver which is an all-new addition when compared to its ICE counterpart.
Mahindra XUV.e8: Powertrain
However, there are not many details available about the powertrain, we can expect the Mahindra XUV.e8 to feature an 80 kWh battery pack, paired with a single motor setup which is expected to be positioned at the front axle of the electric SUV. Verdict
Our recent spy shots of the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 (XUV700 EV) suggest that it will get a bunch of upgrades in terms of features and design while retaining the overall silhoutte of its ICE counterpart. Once launched, the electric SUV will lock its horns with the upcoming electric versions of the Harrier and Safari.
