Hyundai Creta Facelift To Get ADAS, Digital Console, Lane Assist

New 2022 Hyundai Creta is soon to be launched and it'll feature technologies like ADAS, Digital Console, Lane assist.

Hyundai is well known to provide extensive upgrades in their facelifted cars and the new upcoming Creta is no exception either. Anticipated to feature technological advancements like the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), a fully digital instrument console, driver heads-up display unit, etc. are going to be some tech additions to the facelifted car.

Unveiled last year at the 2021 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Show), the updated Creta is based on Hyundai's latest Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy which is also seen on the latest Tucson.

Expected to launch in the later half of this year, the new car features some prominent changes on the exteriors as well as interiors. A Parametric jewel front grille, unique multi-LED daytime running lights, a redesigned front bumper, redesigned fog lamp housings, new alloy wheel design, new LED tail lamps, revamped rear bumper are some of the major changes on the outside of the updated car.

Inside the cabin of facelifted Creta, new technologies such as ADAS, lane assist system as seen on the Alcazar, autonomous emergency braking system, forwards collision avoidance system, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance system, adaptive cruise control system and blind-spot monitoring system were showcased on the international updated model in Indonesia.

All of these changes are expected to come to the Indian market as well. Along these, Hyundai might provide an all-digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and an updated BlueLink connectivity system as well. The new car might also use dual-tone soft-touch leather inserts on the dashboard as well as on door panels to give it a more premium feel factor.

On the mechanical front, no changes are expected. The new updated Creta will continue using a combination of 1.5 Lt NA petrol, 1.5 Lt turbo-diesel, and a 1.4 Lt turbo-petrol engine options as seen over the current model. Transmission options will also remain the same i.e. a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Creta is one of the major products of Hyundai on sales perspective in India and boasting the new changes it'll help push the car to compete with the newly launched rivals such as the Mahindra XUV700 which offer more features as of now.

Although, no price revision details have surfaced but we expect the new car to be costlier than the current version due to addition of autonomous technology.
