In a recent media interaction, Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai India, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the N Line models, stating that the niche product has garnered positive numbers. Garg revealed plans to expand the N Line portfolio in India, expecting sales to reach 15,000-20,000 units in the next few years. While the specific N Line model was not disclosed, it is strongly hinted that the upcoming addition will be a Creta N Line, based on the popular Creta SUV, set to launch later this year following the release of the Creta facelift.
Hyundai Creta N-Line Expected Powertrain
As recently reported, the Creta facelift is set to feature three engine options, with the introduction of a new 1.5-litre, 160hp turbo-petrol engine replacing the previous 1.4-litre variant. The N Line version is expected to adopt this engine, paired with the 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) gearbox. While the engine output is not anticipated to change, Hyundai is likely to enhance the N Line model with a sportier suspension setup, a more dynamic exhaust note, and adjusted steering dynamics, aligning with the characteristics of other N Line offerings.
Hyundai is gearing up for a series of launches in 2024, with the Creta facelift taking the lead followed by the introduction of the sportier Creta N Line. Additionally, the Alcazar is slated for a facelift this year, and there are prospects of the facelifted Tucson making its way to the Indian market, having been unveiled internationally in the previous year.
Verdict
As Hyundai continues to enhance its product portfolio with updates and new offerings, customers can anticipate a year filled with choices that align with contemporary design, advanced features, and a touch of sportiness. The road ahead looks vibrant for Hyundai enthusiasts, promising a delightful driving experience with every new launch.
