Mahindra and Mahindra have been working on an electric avatar of the XUV700. The upcoming E-SUV will be introduced as the Mahindra XUV.e8 in the market. Mahindra XUV.e8 Interior Spy shots
The upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 will be the brand's first product to be based on the pure electric INGLO platform. The brand has plans to add around five EVs in its portfolio including the BE and XV.e nameplates. Despite being the electrified XUV700, the XUV.e8 will offer more tech inside the cabin including a 10.25-inch triple screen setup - one as a main infotainment display, the second as a driver's display and the third one for the co-passenger. The main infotainment will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Mahindra XUV.e8: Exterior
Regarding exterior design, the upcoming XUV.e8 will resemble its ICE counterpart (XUV700). Looking at the spy shots, I can say that it will get a refreshed front fascia. Apart from this, it will feature a new set of alloy wheels, flush door handles, charging port on the fuel filler's position.
Mahindra XUV.e8 Powertrain Details (Expected)
The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 EV is expected to offer a battery pack of up to 80 kWh which will be available with both single-motor and dual-motor setups. If everything goes well, the powertrain setup will provide a maximum driving range of 500 km on a single charge.
Mahindra XUV.e8 Price Expectations
Considering the set of features, we expect the upcoming XUV.e8 to come with a starting price of Rs. 25 lakh. Once launched, it will go against the upcoming Safari EV and Harrier EV in the Indian market.
