Maruti is all set to unveil its version of the Toyota Innova Hycross in India on July 5. Likely to be named Engage, this new Maruti MPV will be the most premium, the most luxurious & the most expensive Maruit ever. Moreover, it would actually be a rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross with possibly some minor design changes in the exterior.
Thus, Toyota will be manufacturing the new Engage MPV in its plant and then supplying it to Maruti, which will further sell it through NEXA dealerships. Recently, the new Maruti Engage was spotted during a test run near the manufacturing plant of Toyota. Let's see what details this recent spotting uncovers about the upcoming Maruti Engage.
Maruti Engage Spotted: New Exterior Details
Seeing the spy images one can easily guess that the test vehicle is a Maruti Engage and not a Toyota Innova Hycross. That's because, the nameplate of the test vehicle reads HR26, and this nameplate is used by Maruti.
Seeing the rear of the test vehicle, one can also notice the 3-segmented lights on the taillamp. The 3-segmented lights are the signature design for Maruti cars that are sold through NEXA dealerships. Also, this same design is followed on other Maruti NEXA cars like Baleno, Grand Vitara, Fronx, etc. Moreover, seeing this, there's now a high possibility that the front DRLs of the Enagae might also get a similar 3-segmented light design treatment. This design treatment in the front & rear of the Engage MPV will help Maruti to differentiate its product from Toyota Innova Hycross.
