The core of this safety assessment involves a series of comprehensive crash tests meticulously designed to thoroughly examine the car's safety features. Specially calibrated dummies are employed to simulate real-life impacts, providing a precise evaluation of how the vehicle safeguards its occupants in the event of accidents. The crash tests cover various scenarios, including front and side impacts, in accordance with Indian regulations. Additionally, the incorporation of a crushable zone, known as the crumple zone, is a key aspect of these assessments, aiming to absorb impact and enhance passenger safety by taking a holistic approach to collision protection.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is presently equipped with a range of safety features. Standard safety provisions include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), hill-hold assist, rear parking sensors, seatbelt pre-tensioners with load-limiters, Isofix child seat anchorage points, and a speed alert system. Moreover, select variants boast additional safety enhancements such as a 360-degree camera, side and curtain airbags, a reverse parking camera, and an auto-dimming IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror)
Maruti Cars Pledged For BNCAP Testing
Maruti Suzuki India, the nation's largest car manufacturer, is designating three vehicle models for assessment of their crash safety performance within the recently launched Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). These vehicles include the highly popular Baleno premium hatchback, Maruti Brezza, and the mid-size SUV, Grand Vitara as per a senior executive from the company.
