Maruti Invicto Teaser Confirms Panoramic Sunroof And Captain Seats
The launch of the Innova Hycross-based Maruti MPV is set for 5th July. While a lot is already known and speculated, the teaser confirms a couple of them.
In the teaser image, it shows the second-row doors open and you can clearly see a panoramic sunroof at the top. While this is a premium offering on the MPV, this doesn't end here. Since the Invicto is based on its Toyota cousin, Hycross, it is most likely to be a copy of the same in features and overall design. However, a few tweaks here and there are there to add a distinct identity. It boasts features like a 10-inch touchscreen system, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, powered drivers seat, and electrically adjustable second-row ottoman seats. Coming to safety, it comes with six airbags, ESP, hill hold control, a 360-degree camera, and radar-based ADAS.
Maruti Invicto Powertrain
Unlike the Innova Hycross, the Maruti Invcto is available only in a strong hybrid automatic. The 183hp, 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine coupled with an electric motor that comes mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The bookings are only underway for the blue color with the Alpha Plus fully loaded variant. More color choices are expected moving forward.
VERDICT- While the launch is very close, we are getting more details moving forward. Some raise the question will it miss out on some features? Well, it could be a possibility to keep the costs in check, but the teaser hints at something else. The Invicto, at this point in time, is only available in a strong hybrid variant only.
